Check-in, Occupation and Departure
- Check-in time: Between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM
- Check-out time: Before 10:00 AM
- Cleaning companies are scheduled to intervene immediately after departure. They cannot be cancelled on the same day. Any breach will be charged, and travel costs will be deducted from the security deposit.
- For any late check-out or early arrival, please contact us in advance. We will do our best depending on subsequent arrivals. Any failure without prior agreement will be charged and deducted from the security deposit.
- The property is reserved strictly for residential use.
- The number of occupants may not exceed the number stated in the reservation, and must not exceed 8 people in total. All adults and children staying must be properly declared in the reservation. In case of discrepancy, the main guest will be charged €100 per undeclared person, per day.
- Parties, events, or gatherings are strictly prohibited..
- A valid ID and credit/debit card must be presented upon arrival.
- Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to check in.
- Access to the property will only be granted if all guests have completed the required information and provided the requested documents.
- Pets are not allowed.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of €800 is required upon arrival, payable by bank transfer.

It will be refunded within 5 days after departure by bank transfer, provided no damage is noted during the check-out inspection.
Water, electricity, and gas consumption are included in the reservation. However, any abnormal overconsumption, especially concerning air conditioning (see below), will be deducted from the deposit.
Safety
- All doors and sliding windows must be locked when leaving the property.
- Sharing keys with non-registered persons is strictly prohibited.
- Do not disconnect or tamper with safety equipment (e.g., smoke detectors).
- In case of storms or strong winds, and systematically before leaving the premises, umbrellas must be closed and secured.
- The pool is surrounded by lockable glass doors. Children and non-swimmers must be supervised at all times by the guests.
- Each guest must have their own insurance coverage. The owner declines all responsibility in case of accidents during the stay.
Cleaning and Cleanliness
- The property must be left in a reasonably clean condition, even though cleaning is included in the booking. We reserve the right to use the security deposit if the property is left in a condition below normal use.
- Guests must sort and dispose of waste as detailed below. Waste management is the guests’ responsibility. Any breach will be charged and deducted from the deposit.
- Please strip the beds and place used sheets and towels in the bathtub/shower.
- Please report any damage or malfunction during your stay.
- Pool maintenance is automated. However, guests must allow the pool technician to install the cleaning robot at least every 3 days. The cycle lasts 2 hours and does not prevent swimming.
Waste sorting rules (La Grande Motte municipality):
- Grey bins: household waste in grey bags.
- Yellow bins: paper, cardboard, and PLASTIC bottles (loose). Yellow reusable bags will be provided.
- Glass: must be sorted separately.
A recycling container is available at the “Haute Plage” parking lot, next to the community center, about 1 km from the house.
Yellow and grey bins are on the property and emptied weekly by the municipality.
Waste management is the guests’ responsibility. Any breach will be charged and deducted from the deposit.
Air Conditioning
- For energy saving, doors and windows must be closed while AC is running.
- Do not set AC units more than 10°C below the outside temperature (e.g., if it’s 35°C outside,
do not set below 25°C).
- An indoor temperature of 22–23°C is considered sufficient. Lowering the temperature further will not cool the room faster.
House Rules
- The house is strictly NON-SMOKING. It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside.
- A smoking area is provided on the terrace with a large ashtray. Please do not smoke on the wooden deck.
- Please respect quiet hours, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM..
- Failure to respect neighborhood tranquility may result in extra charges, penalties, or cancellation of the reservation.
- Many animals live around the house (neighbors’ cats, rabbits, birds, frogs, insects, etc.). Do not feed them or allow them inside.
- Various amenities are provided (iron, ironing board, washing machine, dishwasher, plancha grill, sun loungers, sofas, DVDs, books, etc.).
Please treat them with care, as if they were your own. (In particular, clean the plancha and oven after use.) Any damage will be charged against the deposit.
Liability
- The tenant is fully responsible for any damage caused to the property, furniture, equipment, or building during the stay, even if unintentional.
- It is always better to report damage proactively rather than try to hide it.
- Any breach of the house rules or damage will result in deductions from the deposit and/or claims for compensation.
- These house rules are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent court in Montpellier, France.
NOTE:
The property is located near the Camargue.
In the evening, mosquitoes may disturb outdoor activities. The town and region deploy significant measures during the summer to control them.
Please plan for mosquito protection.
